SG60 FAB Terms and Conditions
Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully
before participating in the SMEG SG60 Design Challenge (“Contest”). By
entering the Contest, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Organiser
The Contest is organised by SMEG Singapore Pte Ltd (“Organiser”).
2. Eligibility
- The
Contest is open to all Singapore citizens, permanent resident or currently
residing in Singapore.
- Employees
of the Organiser, its affiliates, and their immediate family members are
not eligible to participate.
- The
Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant who does not
comply with these Terms.
3. Contest Period
- Submission period: 17 June 2025 to 15 July 2025, 11:59PM SGT
- Voting period: 16 July 2025 - 23 July 2025, 11:59PM SGT
- Late
or incomplete entries will not be accepted.
4. How to Enter
- Download
the appropriate template (FAB28 or FAB10) based on your eligibility:
- Participants
in the Open Category (18 years and above): FAB28
Template
- Participants
in the Junior Category (17 years and below): FAB10 Template
- Submit your original SMEG FAB refrigerator design concept via the official contest submission form at https://smegshop.sg/sg60-fabdesign-challenge/submission
- Each
submission must include:
a. Your full name, last 4 digits of NRIC, and contact details
b. A high-resolution image or artwork of your design (in JPEG or PNG format) designed on the template provided
c. A short description (max 1200 characters) explaining your inspiration
5. Design Requirements
- Design must be original and created solely by the participant.
- Design must be created using the template(s) provided.
- Submissions
must not include any AI generated content, copyrighted material, offensive content, or infringe
on any intellectual property rights.
- SMEG
reserves the right to reject any design that does not align with the
brand’s values or aesthetic standards.
- If selected as the Top Winner in either category, the participant must provide the final artwork in high resolution (minimum 300dpi) and in EPS, Illustrator, or Photoshop format, as specified by the Organiser.
- Failure to provide the final design in the required format and resolution will result in disqualification, and another winner may be selected.
6. Judging Criteria
- Entries will be judged based on:
- Creativity and originality
- Relevance to the theme “SG60: Celebrating 60 Years of Singapore”
- Visual appeal and design integration with SMEG’s aesthetic
- All
entries will be reviewed, and the top 25 shortlisted designs in each
category (Open and Junior) will proceed to a public voting stage, combined
with evaluations from a judging panel.
- Final
winners will be determined by a weighted score: 40% public votes and 60%
judges’ votes.
- The top 3 entries from each category,
based on total score, will be selected as the Winning Designs.
- Judging will be conducted by a panel
appointed by SMEG. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence
will be entertained.
7. Prizes
- Winning Design: 3 designs from each category (Open and Junior) will be selected as the Winning Designs, based on the combined public and judges' votes.
- The top 3 winners from each category will receive cash prizes as follows:
Open Category
– 1st Place: S$1,500
– 2nd Place: S$1,300
– 3rd Place: S$1,000
Junior Category
– 1st Place: S$800
– 2nd Place: S$600
– 3rd Place: S$400
- Only the 1st place winner in each category will have their design potentially showcased on a limited-edition SMEG FAB refrigerator — either the FAB28 (Open Category) or FAB10 (Junior Category). These designs may be displayed at a designated location selected by SMEG Singapore Pte Ltd.
- All prizes are non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash. SMEG reserves the right to substitute prizes of equivalent value.
8. Intellectual Property
- By entering the Contest, participants grant SMEG a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute the submitted designs for marketing, promotional, and exhibition purposes, with appropriate credit given.
- The winning design may be further adapted for production use; SMEG will engage with the winner in this case.
9. Publicity
- By participating, you agree that your name, submitted work, and any photos/videos taken during the prize presentation may be used by SMEG for promotional purposes.
10. Liability
- The
Organiser shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury of any kind
arising from participation in this Contest or acceptance of any prize.
- SMEG
reserves the right to amend or cancel the Contest at any time without
prior notice.
11. Data Privacy
- All personal information collected will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Contest and will be handled in accordance with SMEG’s privacy policy.
12. Governing Law
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
