Chef Imran's Cheesy Gochujang Pasta
Ingredients
- FRESHLY MADE PASTA 250 GM
- OLIVE OIL 50 ML
- CHOPPED GARLIC 30 GM
- FINELY DICED ONIONS 30 GM
- SMOKED CHICKEN SAUSAGE, DICED 150 GM
- GOCHUJANG PASTE 2 - 3 TBSP
- WATER / STOCK 1 CUP
- COOKING CREAM ½ CUP
- SHREDDED CHEESE 100 GM
- SALT & PEPPER TO TASTE
- CHOPPED CHIVES 10 GM
Method
- Bring a pot of water to a boil.
- Preheat sauté pan over medium heat. Add 2 tbsp oil and diced chicken sausage and sauté about 1 – 2 minutes.
- Add garlic, shallot, and sauté until soft and translucent.
- Add gochujang paste and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Add stock/water and cream. Stir until the paste and the cream are fully incorporated.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese and stir until melted.
- Turn down the heat and let simmer. Season to taste.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Turn off heat and sprinkle chopped chives.
